Project Co-ordinator - HOME Slough

Creative People and Places (CPP) is a national initiative that aims to increase the number of people choosing, creating and taking part in brilliant art experiences in the places where they live, particularly where evidence shows that people are less involved in arts and cultural activities than elsewhere in England. Funded by Arts Council England and Slough Borough Council, there are 21 independent CPPs.

The purpose of the Project Co-ordinator role is to provide overall administrative and operational support to ensure successful delivery of HOME Slough programme.

Rifco is looking for an enthusiastic team player with excellent organisational and administrative skills to join the HOME Slough team in the delivery of its programme of activity. This is a part time fixed term position.

SALARY & CONTRACT

Part-time 3 days per week, fixed term until December 2017. £18,000 pro rata to reflect 3 days per week.

The appointed person will be engaged as an employee and receive the company’s usual pension contribution, holiday pay and benefits.

Rifco is an award winning touring theatre company that develops and creates vibrant, accessible and high quality theatre which celebrates and reflects the contemporary British Asian experience. Pravesh Kumar, Artistic Director, founded the company in 1999 and the company’s success has been its ability to attract a British Asian audience in to regional theatres for the very first time.

Rifco is looking for an experienced candidate to manage its operational and administrative systems to ensure the smooth delivery of the artistic programme and the effective running of the organisation.

SALARY & CONTRACT

The post is a fixed term one-year contract covering the postholder’s maternity leave.

The salary will be in the region of £28,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience.

PLACE OF WORK

The General Manager is based at Watford Palace Theatre, however, the nature of the role means that s/he will be required to travel nationally particularly during touring periods.

HOURS OF WORK

The working week is 40 hours per week with normal office hours of 10:00 – 18:00. Staff will be required to work unsocial hours (evening and weekends) and whilst overtime payments will not be made, the company offers time off in lieu.
